0 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T

The 1969 Coronet R/T and Super Bee received some minor changes from the 1968 year. Essentially, the sheet metal remained the same. However, minor changes to the grill, tail lights, side marker lights (rectangular instead of round as in 1968) and other new options separate the '69.
The most noticeable addition was the introduction of a dual scoop fresh air scoop system called the Ramcharger and the optional 440cid 6bbl motor (Six Pack). These were both options that were available to the Plymouth Road Runner and GTX.
The Super Bee was now offered in a hardtop instead of just a sedan and included a new bumble bee stripe.
The optional 440 Six Pack Coronet was a true drag race machine. It was built for but one purpose - drag racing. For those who opted for this special model they received the powerful 440 6bbl motor complete with three holley two barrels, alumnium intake, beefy rods, and aggressive cam. They also got a fiberglass liftoff hood with a massive cold air scoop and a Dana 60 rear end with 4.10 gears. The car was available with either a 4 speed or automatic. However, all cars rolled on simple black steel rims. These are highly collectable and prized vehicles.
